The desert lights are back on, the music is louder than ever, and Coachella 2026 has officially kicked off its first weekend in spectacular style with pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter leading the charge and global girl group KATSEYE making one of the most talked-about debuts of the night.


Held at the famous Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, the legendary festival returned for its 25th edition, opening Weekend 1 on April 10, 2026, with thousands of fans flooding the venue and millions more tuning in through livestream platforms worldwide.

Sabrina Carpenter Takes Center Stage

All eyes were on Sabrina Carpenter as she headlined Friday night’s main stage performance at around 9:05 p.m. PDT, delivering what she described as her “most ambitious show yet.”

After an already impressive run of festival appearances and chart-topping success in 2025, Carpenter returned to Coachella bigger, bolder, and more confident than ever. Fans were thrilled to see her headline the opening night of one of the world’s most iconic music festivals a clear sign of how far the pop star has risen.


Her performance helped officially launch a weekend packed with heavy hitters including Justin Bieber and Karol G, who are also headlining the 2026 edition. 


KATSEYE Makes a Buzz-Worthy Coachella Debut

Another major highlight of Day 1? The long-awaited Coachella debut of KATSEYE and yes, they absolutely delivered.


The rising global girl group took the stage around 8:00 p.m. PDT, bringing high-energy choreography, bold visuals, and strong vocals that instantly caught fans’ attention both onsite and online. 


Even with member Manon Bannerman currently on health-related hiatus, the remaining five performers impressed audiences with a confident and polished set. The group recently released their new single “Pinky Up” ahead of the festival and prepared intensely for their Coachella moment, drawing inspiration from legendary performances by artists like Beyoncé.

In a surprise twist that thrilled K-pop fans, KATSEYE also delivered a special collaboration performance of “Golden” alongside members of the fictional group Huntr/X from the animated film KPop Demon Hunters, creating one of the night’s most unexpected highlights.

Day 1 set the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable weekend filled with music, fashion moments, surprise collaborations, and global streaming excitement. The festival continues through April 12 before returning again for its second weekend from April 17–19.
